Nanwu Temple

Nanwu Temple, Tibetan name Namu Temple, is said to be Happy Horse Mountain Fairy Temple. Located 2.5 kilometers south of Kangding City, it is one of the famous temples in Kangding District. It is known as the "Double Temple Cloud Forest" with the adjacent King Kong Temple, which is one of the ancient scenery in Kangding. In the 11th century AD, it was built in today's Paomashan during the Northern Song Dynasty. It was a Red religion in the early Ming and Qing dynasties. It was destroyed by war in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. It was later rebuilt at "Zhujuegang". Kangxi 16 years (1677 AD) Wangluo Sanjiacuo presented Buddhist paintings such as the Tsongkhapa master, Dawei King Kong, and the auspicious mother-in-law, and named "Zhuo Deng Bamboo Forest" as the temple of the temple of Langgazag of the Potala Palace. ".

Nanwu Temple occupies an area of 2524 square meters and a building area of 3851 square meters. It is a quadrangular courtyard of wood and stone structure. The main hall is on the third floor and the bottom is about 20 meters high. The temple building has a double-eave Xieshan style, arched eaves, and Tibetan-style painting in the pavilion. It is one of the main venues for the eight-round mountain meeting in April. Nanwu Temple produced famous monks, 3 Kambu and 14 Gexi, and the eighth Panchen gave his Buddhist robes to the temple. The temple continues to have incense throughout the year, and there are endless stream of believers and tourists. Foreign friends and Hong Kong and Macao compatriots come here every year to see many tourists.
